Winter Warmer break at Culcreuch Castle

It’s nice to get away for a few days especially at this time of year, and it’s even better if you can take your best friend along with you to enjoy the fun.
Keith and I decided to go on a Winter Warmer break to Culcreuch Castle near Stirling, the only trouble being it wasn’t very warm. The Castle was really cold. Thankfully, because we had Amber and Chez with us we were staying in the Courtyard Rooms which where just next to the Castle and had modern central heating. Just as well as we were there during February’s very cold snowfall.

Why is it that when you take your dogs away for a few days it is like taking new born babies you have to take everything but the kitchen sink, Keith and I managed to get all our gear in one medium suitcase with room to spare, Amber and Chez had the roof box and it was full to the brim, what with their beds, food, dishes, towels, toys and treats.

Amber and chez certainly had a Zinger of a time playing in the Castle grounds and chasing after the Ring Zinger in the Snow, as you can see in the video above.

We all had a wonderful time Amber and Chez had lots of new and exciting smells and Keith and I had lovely food what more could you want.

I have decided that it would be a good idea to have a page on my web site just for Hotels, B&Bs and Pubs that allow dogs, so if you have a favourite place you would like to share with other dog owners please let me know and I will add it to my site.
