Our Borrowed Yummy Liver Cake Recipe

Everyone likes to feed they dogs healthy treats, especially when you hear about so many dogs these days becoming allergic to different foods. Many are filled with different preservatives and additives which can’t be good for our dogs.

A few years ago we got a few recipes for treats from our dogs breeder Rachel, and the one our gang love the most is undoubtedly Liver Cake.

So we thought we would share it with you to have a go and give your dog a healthy treat he will love :-).

1lb liver (any kind will do )
1lb S/R granary flour ( can use ordinary if you wish )
2 cloves of garlic ( optional )
3 eggs
1/2 pint of milk/water

Liquidise liver with the eggs, milk, garlic and a little oil in a blender.

Add to flour and mix.

Pour into greased microwave dish/cake tin

cook on full power in the microwave for about 10 minutes or oven for approx 40 minutes (360 degrees/180 degress f )

cut the cake into cubes, we use a pizza cutter and then freeze.

We normally double up the recipe for our gang and the treats usually last about a month.

And as you can see the gang love to help by cleaning the bowl and the spoon, just like you used too when your Mum baked. 🙂

Happy Baking!
